Our Donation Process

Techcharity donates 1% of every dollar you spend on technology at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU! Techcharity has created a diverse list of charities representing both national and local causes for you to choose from. Our lists are socially diverse; they include causes that address environmental concerns, improve the lives of children, assist the elderly and the poor, promote the humane treatment and protection of animals, support advances in medical research, foster action against social injustice, and fund community development projects. As our business expands we will add new nonprofit groups and create additional localized lists for companies wanting to "give back to their local communities". Customers select their own charities from our pre-qualified list, based on their desire to make a difference. The charities included in our list have been evaluated by Charity Navigator, America’s largest charity evaluator, and have met Charity Navigator’s standards for financial health. As a result, customers can be confident that the charities they support through Techcharity are fiscally responsible and professionally managed organizations.

Charity Navigator is an independent nonprofit organization that evaluates America’s largest charities. Charities are rated on a 0-4 star system. Evaluations are conducted using financial data reported to the IRS, and they are based on the following performance categories:

  • Fundraising Efficiency
  • Fundraising Expenses
  • Program Expenses
  • Administration Expenses
  • Primary Revenue Growth
  • Program Expense Growth
  • Working Capital Ratio

For additional information regarding Charity Navigator's rating system, please visit their web site at www.charitynavigator.org.
